Eve, No clothing can keep you from feeling sad and lonely. As you know, that's all about you and what's inside. However, it does boost the spirits a bit when you know you look good. Listen to your kids (in moderation). You can wear leggings and skinny jeans. Just be sure to balance the tight, clingy look below with something full on top, regardless of you body type. And don't throw away the boot leg styles just yet. As you might have noticed, they are still shown widely and have made a bit of a comeback. So I say, wear both. Change it up a little, and vary your look depending on your mood and the look you're going for. More variety. More fun. Thanks for writing.

My son and daughter (17 & 20) have both told me to give up the 'boot leg' jeans, I should be wearing leggings or skinny jeans. I didn't think I should as I'm 51 years old, your blog has given me the confidence to give it a try.

I'm afraid of slowly fading away, wearing boring clothes and becoming a sad lonely woman. There I've said it.

After returning some items within the 90 day return window, I just got a notice from JJill weeks later that I will receive a merchandise credit--- but what will there be to purchase? I did buy a bunch of A-line t-shirts that I love (all black or gray....) but those are no longer available, and I see nothing in a color or likely fit that will work for me. Has anyone found a new supplier for natural fabrics with heavy emphasis on flowing styles and an autumn or varied palette?

Great ideas, Kelly. Slub cotton is very cool as are the great pieces available in bamboo - so comfortable and breatheable! I agree completely about the camis with built-in bras, way too tight and hot. Thanks for sharing.
