Lisa, those United Nude shoes are fabulous! So great looking and thanks for letting us know that they are comfortable. I’m not personally as enthused about the Rabotins, but they also look like you wouldn’t mind spending the day in them. Thanks for sharing all of this with your over 50 sisters.

I refuse to wear old-lady shoes, but don’t want sky high ones, and my 59 YO feet want comfort. So here are some great ones I have found:

Good point, Chery. Prints can be a mixed bag. That’s why I suggested that we stay away from a head-to-toe print look – except for dresses which can be anchored with solid accessories – a sweater, shawl, shoes, bag, etc. A lot depends on stature, build and overall image. Some of us can pull it off and some of us can’t. If you feel that prints are exactly right for you, but you like them to some degree, you can flip the arrangement and go for printed acessories accessories. That’s a way to jazz up your look without getting lost in the print, as you say.

I hear you. The bottom line for all of us is to be true to our personal style and to be in tune with what works for us and what doesn’t. Fashion dictates only go so far. We have to be the final judge of what looks good on us and whether it makes us feel good. How about asking your friends to read the post and weigh in on the spring offerings? I’d like to hear more about what our peers think of this year’s spring stylings. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I enjoyed your post…right on the money! Although I will forgo the bold prints as I can’t wear those like I used to. As a matter of fact, I don’t really like them on the models in the picture you posted either. I feel like as I get older I get lost in the print!
